How many teams or players can I include?
You can build single-elimination brackets for any number of entrants from 4 to 64. If your count is not a power of two, the tool automatically inserts byes in the first round so the higher seeds advance directly to round two. This keeps the bracket balanced and means a 12-team event finishes in the same number of rounds as a 16-team one.
How does seeding work?
Enter your teams in seed order from strongest to weakest, and the tool pairs them using the standard 1 vs lowest, 2 vs second-lowest pattern so top seeds only meet in later rounds. If you do not have rankings, switch on "shuffle entrants" and the tool randomises the order before placing them, which is fine for casual or office tournaments.
Can I print the bracket for a wall or scoresheet?
Yes. The print layout strips the page chrome and scales the bracket to fit a single sheet, with larger brackets flowing onto landscape A3 or tabloid paper for readability. Use your browser's print preview to check the orientation, and pick "fit to page" to avoid cut-off match boxes. The printed version leaves the score boxes blank so you can fill them in by hand.
How do I record results as the tournament runs?
Click on a match to mark a winner, and that team automatically advances into the next round's slot. The bracket updates live, so you can run an event from a single laptop or tablet at the scorer's table. If you make a mistake, click the match again to clear it; downstream results that depended on it will be reset so you can re-enter them cleanly.
Can I share the bracket with players and spectators?
You can copy the bracket's URL or export it as an image or PDF and share it via email, chat, or social media. Some builds also offer a read-only spectator link so participants can follow along without being able to edit results. For live events, projecting the bracket on a screen and updating it on the laptop is the simplest setup.
Does it work for double-elimination or round-robin formats?
This tool focuses on single-elimination brackets, which are the simplest and quickest format for casual events. For double-elimination, group stages, or round-robin formats you will need a dedicated tournament platform. That said, you can run a group stage by hand and then feed the top finishers into this bracket as the playoff round, which is how many sports leagues structure their finals.
